December 30, 2003 - Dude

I've finally gotten off my lazy bum and added five new wallpapers: two for Azumanga Daioh, two for Evangelion (warning: these ones aren't work-safe/family-friendly), and another one for Kill Bill! This raises the count to 196.

Do you have a website at XANGA? Most of the people direct linking from this site are from xanga.com with blogs, or whatever. You can try direct linking all you want, but you will never be able to use our images on your sites UNTIL YOU UPLOAD THEM TO YOUR OWN WEBSPACE. Was I unclear as to the terms of use? They are on the left side of this page in the first column. Try having a bit of consideration for what this site offers you at no cost: 190 free wallpapers at no cost to you, no ads, and no strings attached to use them. This site has used over 2gb of bandwidth this month alone. Direct linking to the images doesn't help that... and honestly, the majority of our bandwidth is being drained by people like you, who are too lazy/greedy/whatever to upload the images to your own space.

I am sorry to have to have taken this measure, but the honour system does not work. Thank the fine people with blogs at xanga.com, folks.

I've become rather obsessed with the upcoming release of The Sims 2 (due to be released Q1 of 2004), so I found a nice source image and made a wallpaper for The Sims 2. We should have some new wallpapers from the others soon. Dude has mentioned to me that he has quite a few that he'll be adding.

I have been studying the server logs, and have come to realize that people who visit this site have been distributing wallpapers inappropriately. Now, let me go over something really quickly, and I am only going to do this once.

1. You may use our wallpapers on your websites

1 a) HOWEVER, you are NOT authorized to directly link to images on this webspace. It is a drain on our bandwidth. What I can suggest to you is to upload your images to YOUR OWN WEBSPACE and use YOUR OWN BANDWIDTH. If you need better webhosting, then get better webhosting, but do not steal our bandwidth. We offer this site as a free resource to the fans, and all that we ask, in return, is common courtesy.

1. b) If you do choose to use our wallpapers, please DO NOT alter our watermarks in ANY WAY. They help regulate traffic to this site and motivate us to make more wallpapers for you.

Please adhere to these simple courtesies, and we will be happy to keep this site up and running. However, if this simple rule is broken any much more, we will not hesitate to take this site down. This makes you lose, and everyone else who enjoys this site, including the artists, lose.

2. Please provide a link back to this page. You don't need to use a button, but we would REALLY REALLY like it if you provided a link when using the wallpapers.

I've added a place for wallpapers from the movie "The Matrix" (yeah, all three of them) to reside. Also, a wallpaper is sitting in that very section waiting for you. Oh yea, I've added a Cowboy Bebop wallpaper too. 182 wallpapers now.

I've created and added a new wall from Haibane Renmei. This will be the first in a series of many wallpapers, as I have come into a bunch of great new source images. You'll have to wait a bit for the rest, though, because I'll be away from a computer for a week or two. Our total is now 180. That's a lot of wallpapers for 4 people ;)

We have 3 new wallpapers from wildarmsheero for Cowboy Bebop. He's our newest artist, so be sure to check out his work! You'll see that he fits in well with the rest of us crazy people :) Our grand total is 175 wallpapers through 59 different series, anime, game related, and miscellaneous.

On another note, Happy Thanksgiving to all you Canadians celebrating today and tomorrow! Eat lots of turkey (or tofurkey, you wacky vegetarians ;)

I'm trying something completely new here. This website was originally intended to have not only anime and game wallpapers, but wallpapers from other stuff. Here's the first addition to our "Other" section: two brand spankin' new wallpapers from the new Quentin Tarantino movie, Kill Bill.

A new wallpaper series: Sailor Moon. Still waiting on Dude and DigitalSin to actually post some wallpapers :P Lazy bums :P Also, Wildarmsheero will be joining us as soon as he sends me his wallpapers. I swear, it always takes a woman to do the job :P Anyway, we're up to a nice, round 170 wallpapers.

I've gone ahead and added a brand spankin new Evangelion wallpaper. Also, I'd like to welcome wildarmsheero onboard with us. We'll be adding some of his work in the near future.
